Colin Mclachlan1 March 2026We had 7 days shore fishing with Duvan fishing charters and he also arranged 2 days on a boat for us. Fishing was superb as was the entire accommodation and food package. Everything was taken care of by Duvan who is a complete professional. We had a range of hard fighting fish up to 365lb the action was non stop most days. The guides worked unbelievably hard from start to finish — nothing was ever too much trouble for them. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about what they do. I was a bit apprehensive before arriving, but from the moment I got there I felt completely safe and at ease. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. The food was great throughout the trip, and the accommodation was really comfortable and well looked after. Mike B22 January 2026A last minute trip that I'll not forget. This was a last minute trip.The day could not have gone any better. The trip was arranged very last minute. In a chat with Duvan, he said that most trips he does with clients are arranged well in advamce, and span from 3 to 10 days. I had half a day spare and it was a longshot getting anything booked the night before my spare time. Duvan got a couple of guides sorted and I had a shoreline session sorted, and to be ready for 0800 the next day. My guides were Luke and Derik and they worked hard from start to get everything set up. This type/style of fishing is completely alien to me so I was asking a lot of questions. The lads assumed no knowlege on my behalf, and explained everything as things progressed. Fishing isn't catching, and that is always on my mind when paying for these experiences. That being said we had bites very soon after baits were in the water, with 3 takes being converted to 3 bronze whalers on the shore. I personally had fish 1 and 3 as we had a double take, and fish 2 was landed by Derik. Luke and Derik were just as pumped about me having the fish, as I was to be fighting them. It shows that they love their jobs and getting you on fish is important to them. I feel very lucky to have landed 2 of these amazing creatures on my first attempt fishing for them. My 1st fish would've been enough for me to say I that had a blinder, but to hook and land another that dwafed my 1st fish is unbelievable. My 1st was 214 cm pre-caudal length and the 2nd was 231 cm. Willow S3 January 2026Shore fishing South Africa Just a magnificent trip with Duvan and the guides.I first spoke with Duvan 6 months prior to our trip where he picked out a good set of tides in our 5 day trip ( very important).This is where I first noticed his excellent attention to detail.After a long flight from the UK our taxi was waiting at PE and took us to our first class accommodation. We had 2 requests, one that the lads picked the best surf conditions and the other that we had an evening session. The guides arranged a braai while the sun went down.Amazing and landed a few really big fish in the dark, a real buzz.Thanks to Ajax, Mike and Duvan we had a constant supply of livebait and this resulted in some massive fish. Did 8 days fishing with Duvan, he organised everything other than the flights- transfer to airport, accommodation, breakfast, lunch, cold drinks, tackle, bait etc. Everything was stress free- just get on and fish. We moved around depending on conditions, from Sundays Beach to St. Francis Point, the guides have incredible local knowledge of where to be and what to target. I had a Black Mussel Cracker of 69cm, spearnosed skate, ragged tooth shark of 204cm, lots of bronze whalers to 225cm, hammerhead sharks and alot of other fish. The communication throughout the trip was great, we knew timings and what the plan for the day was. The African perfection B&B was top notch and impeccably clean. The value of food in Jeffreys Bay was very good. I caught numerous sharks up to 2.3m in length (160kg), and the guides worked tirelessly to get the baits in the water to ensure we caught. An unforgettable experience. Thanks a lot to the fishing guides and accommodation staff. Also, Duvan personally helped me organise a safari whilst I was in country, and that turned out to be a top quality day too. clyne taylor9 November 2025What a day thank you so much, Sheldon and Simone are unbelievably professional, amazing company and fun to be around, I felt like I’ve known them all my life. The fishing exemplary and the knowledge of the surf and where to fish second to none as the results proved. Two beautiful Bronze sharks landed with a fish of a lifetime at 174.8kg and a smaller one at 141.5 kg. We also had five or six other hookups. The weather was a little rough to start but improved as the day went on. I have fished at many places but this experience tops them all. Many, many thanks again to Duvan and his team. He sorted a trip for my brother in law and I at short notice, as we were short on time, and he made sure that we were very well catered for.The guides Sheldon and Seamon have a lot of knowledge and was happy to teach me about everything from watching the waves to know where to cast and the different rigs for what ever fish we were targeting, (I learnt alot) they never stopped all day, trying to get us plenty of Bronse sharks. Which kept us busy, so we never really felt the cold, as it was raining half the day and of course it was windy as hell. Plenty of action, We landed 2 beautiful Bronse sharks, what a day. From start to finish Duvan was very responsive to messages and we knew exactly when, where and what was entailed. They do their utmost best to make the experience one to remember. My son also learned a lot as they don’t mind sharing their knowledge. On day one Duvan took him out and the second day Luke and Kevin. Day one he caught a bronzy and day two another monster bronzy. Mike asked us what we wanted to catch and delivered on his promise, catching more but smaller fish the first day, and then landing 2 big sharks on our last day. Absolutely incredible!! Mike was very knowledgeable and keen to teach us their tricks of the triad, teaching us how to cast nets, tie leaders, what to use and not to use etc. I can go on and on, all I can say is I would highly recommend it and they will see me again next year!!+1
