Duckbill Ray
The duck bill ray is a perennial favourite among surf-casters, and personally we hold them dear. They are stunningly beautiful and majestic, known for their surprisingly strong fight similar to a bronze whaler shark.
Looks very similar to the more common friend known as the eagle ray. However duckies, as we like to call them, grow far larger and are distinguished by beautiful blue lines crossing over the top.
Targeting them requires dedication, but investing time increases your chances of encountering one. Their preferred bait is octopus, making it their all-time favourite.
