Dusky Shark

These fish are amazing! They're the toughest fighting sharks along the South African coast, incredibly fast, and grow to monster sizes. This is why people flock to Mazeppa!

They excel at feeding on large sardine schools and migrate with them during winter. Found in deeper ocean currents, they're ferocious feeders, devouring any fish smaller than themselves. We've even witnessed them attacking smaller grey sharks on our lines multiple times.

To hook them, nothing beats a big, juicy fresh shark or fish during winter off the Mazeppa Bay points. Getting them out is another challenge altogether!
